Conscious that a large core of our clients (individual and corporate) have their origins in India, we at Chhokar & Co have actively sought to develop our experience and familiarity with the many issues which affect such Non Resident Indian (NRI) clients on a regular and ongoing basis.

Because many NRI's (first, second and third generation) have had no prior dealings in India they have no real knowledge of the legal and procedural workings of Indian administrative bodies and organisations. As a result they experience both frustration and disappointment.

Our in house knowledge and expertise (two of our solicitors are Indian advocates who have practiced for many years in different Courts in India) is backed up by the substantive support provided by the impressive network of legal and administrative associates which the Firm has built up.

Chhokar & Co has had consulting offices in India for more than a decade. This has facilitated a close and continuing understanding of and a productive relationship with Indian professional – including advocates, chartered accountants, top ranking administrative executives and NGO's.
